We are always looking for refreshments throughout the day, between breakfast and lunch, and between lunch and dinner. There are many different types of food and drinks that we can choose from, but have we thought about how good are they actually for us? Because of time and money we might always go for the cheapest ones available at the nearest store or restaurant, but we should really avoid doing this! One of the biggest problems that we have to deal with day after day is the drinks that we choose. Naturally, our best option should be drinking a lot of pure water but some people can’t really stand it, which is why they prefer drinking sodas or canned or bottle juices and other unhealthy drinks. If you really want to do something in order to change your nutritional habits you could start by replacing that bad soda for good specialty teas. You can find them in a wide variety of flavors and types, so you really have no chance for saying that you do not like tea! Unlike other drinks, tea is a type of beverage that you can drink in many ways. For example, if you really like milk you can add some to your cup of tea with no problem! If you like sweet drinks, you can always add some sugar without altering the tea’s flavor too much, although it is recommended that you drink specialty teas without any sugar. And depending on the season, you can drink your tea very hot or you can leave it in the fridge for a few minutes so that you can drink it cold. Tea is also great because it blends well with many types of food, so you will not be left with a bad taste if you have drank a cup of tea after your meals. As a matter of fact, it is recommended that we should have a hot beverage after meals, so what is better than having a nice cup of tea.

Furthermore, as mentioned above, we can find teas in many different flavors and types. If you are interested in starting to consume tea more often you could visit the English Garden website where you will find great speciality teas deals. For example, if you want a luxury tea box, you will find the tea selection wooden box that comes with 9 different varieties of tea with 10 teabags of each variety. This deal is great because you can taste many types of tea and the box is absolutely beautiful. In this website you will also be able to find other types of deals, teabag boxes of 100’s for less than 10 pounds and so on.

In summary, drinking tea is really your best option. It is a healthy beverage that you can drink at any time of the day, any season of the year, and besides, many types of teas include health benefits such as properties that help us lose weight!

Tea is the most consumed beverage worldwide, after water of course. Who doesn’t love the refreshing flavors and scents this drink has to offer? Tea is perfect for all seasons and all times of the day. Have a good cup of tea for breakfast and after your meals. Take a just-brewed cup of tea along with some crackers for tea time. And if it is summer, how about a glass of iced tea? You can make tea in different ways according to the method used for its packaging, and you can find them in different flavors like fruity ones and even vanilla. But the truth is, we know little about its history and how it gets to your table every morning.

So where do our speciality teas come from? Basically, most are the product of leaves of different sub-varieties of the Camellia sinensis plant, which are then processed with the use of different methods. After the plant is processed, we get the final product which can be the traditional tea or specialty teas that contain additional ingredients in order to enhance its flavor and scent.

It is believed that the origins of tea are placed in China. In fact, tea plants are native to East and South Asia. No one is sure of its exact origins but there is proof that the earliest records of tea consumption date back to the 10th century BC, and then the Chinese traded tea to Western countries in the 19th century.

The tea plant mainly grows in tropical and sub-tropical climates but there are some varieties that can also grow in marine climates, in England and United States for instance. It takes about 3 years before a plant is ready for harvesting but the elevations they are cultivated at are also important and play a special role in this process. For example, traditional Chinese Tea is cultivated at an elevation of 1,500 meters. Plants grow slowly but they acquire a better flavor.

We can also classify the different types of tea according to the process they have gone through. It is important to keep the leaves at a proper temperature and with proper moisture during their manufacture and packaging because otherwise they could become unfit for consumption due to the growth of bacteria. So the traditional classification of teas is as follows (from least to most processed): white tea, yellow tea, green tea, oolong, black tea and post-fermented tea, this last one is green tea that has been allowed to ferment.

As mentioned above, we can also find a wide variety of specialty teas or flavored teas. The combinations are truly endless and there is pretty much a type for every person. Most teas nowadays are blends. For example, we can find black tea and cinnamon or black tea and roses. This adds a special flavor and scent to tea and make it more enjoyable.
